In October you can sense the weather can get rather harsh compared to southern parts of Europe, nevertheless, weather is not everything.

Copenhagen is great to explore by bike or walking. All the water bodies around the Capital is really breathtaking together with modern buildings.
But don’t forget the history of Copenhagen: This is the Rosenborg Castle a renaissance Castle used by the Danish regents. It is surrounded by the King’s garden.
Copenhagen has always been an important trading harbour thus the name Copen (merchant) haven (harbour). This explains some of the street names
Around the city there are a lot of little restaurants where you can enjoy some sushi or some fresh salmon sandwich. We decided to enter into this little sandwich store and had the most amazing salmon sandwich.
Another precious insider tip, is to go the market to eat some fresh sushi or fish and chips or Smørrebrød. This is usually consists of rye bread with a topping of salmon, cream cheese or a piece of meat. 
Not to miss as a tourist is the Nyhavn area, this is water front with some really good bars and restaurants.
A trendy insider ist the former meat packing area of Copenhagen, where you can find some high end food.
For example the Kødbyens Fiskebar a fish bar with trendy music, cool people and a jellyfish aquarium. Its a bit on the pricy side but you ll be amazed by the high end quality of fish and their presentation of the plate. On top of this the staff is super friendly.
The next day we went to Mother, an authentic italian restaurant with the most amazing pizza outside of Italy. The pizza chef most have been just shipped from Napoli to Copenhagen.
At the end of your trip don’t forget to pay a visit to the little mermaid based on a fairy tale by the Danish author Hans Christian Andersen about a young mermaid willing to give up her life in the sea and her identity as a mermaid to gain a human soul and the love of a human prince.
